A really relaxing place to escape

What a blessing and encouragement for you both! I’d agree totally with every word they shared.
We loved our time with you and that was with children! I don’t often say that as B&B’s are often NOT the place
to take a young family unless you’re ready for the stress levels to increase! I found our children to be relaxed,
had space to explore. It was gorgeous yet child proof!
Thanks,
You cater for all!

"From the moment we drove up the driveway we knew we had made an excellent choice for our Barossa Retreat. We felt relaxed and at home with Rose Cottage's welcoming ambiance inside and out. Highly recommended for its feeling of privacy, yet so easy to access the Barossa experience." Karen 08

"We had a lovely stay at Angaston Rose cottage. The cottage is well located in Angaston town centre and is a great spot to explore the Barossa Valley. The cottage has everything you need for a comfy stay including a great breakfast! We would return and would recommend."

"We had a great stay, the accomodation was top quality. We were amazed at how homely it felt. The wood fire was a bonus.
The breakfast food and the wine chocolates and the fresh home made bread were greatly appreciated. "

Hi Cathy
Speaking on behalf of John (my husband) and Pamela and Geoffrey, I think my interpretation of our "Barossa" trip will speak for us all.
EVERYTHING WAS CLOSE TO PERFECT.
We had been up since 4am, the morning of our arrival at Angaston. Your house was so welcoming and comfortable that we ended up walking down to the butcher (after a visit to the cheese shop for nibbles) and chose our own cut of meat each for dinner, which we sat out in your back area, barbequed, and tossed a salad, and enjoyed a very pleasant evening. We were too relaxed and comfortable (and tired) to want to venture further.
After a lovely cooked breakfast, cooked in a kitchen with every appliance of a good quality, that you could want, we ventured off to discover the Barossa. One of our stops was at the Maggie Beer Farm Shop, and while we were watching a cooking demonstration, Pam and I were lucky enough to meet Maggie Beer.
We thoroughly enjoyed our day, and came home in time to have a quick relax and then into the main street for the annual Christmas parade. That was such a lovely experience and we then had dinner at the Roaring 40's or whatever the pizza restaurant was called - great pizza!! We also replenished our supplies at Angus Park on our way home (being open till 9pm and with 20% off). Of course we bought far too much!!
After a relatively early night we head off to the Farmers' Market early on the Sat. morning. WOW!! We bought beautiful fillet steak and other fresh produce and enjoyed the bacon and egg rolls and coffee. We then went back to Angaston Rose B&B and unfortunately had to pack up and move on to the Clare Valley.
VERDICT
Location: Great, around the corner from the main street. No street noise!
Bedrooms: Perfect for 2 couples, beds comfortable
Bathrooms: As above (for bedrooms), and good to have individual bathrooms
Inclusions: Nothing lacking, i.e. you were able to find everything you could possibly want, and all of a good quality
Recommend: Would highly recommend to any of our friends
Regrets: We were unable to meet you, as our overall impression of South Australian people was, what a lovely friendly lot of people you are!!
We then went on to enjoy 2 days in the Clare Valley and then 1 night in Glenelg in Adelaide.
It has been 30 something years since John and I have been in SA, and hopefully it will not be as long before our next visit.
Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us and hope all is well with your husband.
Take care

"The cottage is very comfortable and the hosts
thought of evewrything especially the home baked bread. We really enjoyed the wood fire. It will be definitely on our list for a return visit. "
